In the footsteps of Tolkien - Celebrating Heritage across the UK in September: Tolkien events

Celebrating Heritage across the UK in September: Tolkien events

Every year* the country opens its doors to many cultural institutions, historic buildings and other places not usually open to the general public.

The Heritage Open Days (website) runs from 10th-19th September 2021. I’ve been keeping an eye on there for any Tolkien-related activities but so far nothing.

But thanks to a kindly reminder by Tolkienist Marcel Aubron-Bülles (blog), Birmingham have their own website for their participation in the week-long event (9th-19th September 2021) called the Birmingham Heritage Week (website) and there are two events listed.

Saturday 11 September @ 10am–11am
Origins of Middle Earth

Start: Sarehole Mill, Cole Bank Road, Hall Green, B13 0BD
Cost: £10 (Booking required)
