Middle-earth is full of wondrous creatures, from the smallest insect to the largest fiercest dragon. All life is important. All life should be celebrated. Join us for one evening to celebrate nature in its many forms, show off your pets, join with fellow travellers to spend time together and share stories.

Event details
Radagast, in the name of Yavanna, has tasked us with celebrating nature on this day. We will gather at a soon-to-be-revealed location, whereupon we’ll march with our animal companions to the festivities area. Ranatuor, your host, will address the gathered crowd, explaining what the day means and what Radagast’s wishes for us are.

Once that is done, we’ll gather to watch a retelling of the “Tale of the Trollshaws Squirrel,” popular with audiences in the past. We may yet get a special guest to retell it. After that, the floor is open to the audience and storytellers, musicians and other entertainers are welcome to take the stage and perform.

4 October is World Animal Day (https://www.worldanimalday.org.uk/) focused on animal rights and welfare. Through storytelling and celebrating animals in Middle-earth and their roles, we’ll explore the theme of the importance of animals – as companions, pets, food, etc.
This event is to be considered RP-Lite – you are welcome and encouraged to RP, but please note there will be attendees who won’t be RPing. This is an inclusive event, open to all players.
Pets (Loremaster, non-combat, cosmetic) are all very welcome. Chicken-play and horse-play are also welcome. Show off your mounts and warsteeds – though please be considerate to others and don’t step on them!

Notice to those wishing to perform: I am more than happy to open the floor to others, once I have finished my storytelling segment. This could include storytellers, musicians, showing off cosmetics. Please let me know in advance and I’ll try to work out a schedule. Send a mail/tell to Ranatuor in-game and we’ll chat.

Nostalelindalë event update: There will be an encore to include our West Coast USA and Asia friends. Expected to start at 12.30 /servertime (12.30am) or 21.30 PST / 5.30am BST. Yes, I am getting up at 5.30am for you. Yes, Rana does encores too. Expect a sleepy Rana!
