It’s focus is obviously the UK, particularly North-west England where the Smial is located but this does not mean the events listed on this document will be geographically-locked to only that region.

Rangers of the North takes over Tolkien Trewsday: April 2026

This April the Rangers of the North Smial takes over #TolkienTrewsday! Smials are locally-organised groups of Tolkien Society members meeting in person and online. You don’t have to be a member to take part. The Rangers of the North Smial meet in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston.

Tolkien Trewsday is a community-focused collaborative weekly event based on BlueSky and other online spaces sharing creativity and knowledge about the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien. You can join in with any of the themes shown above by going to BlueSky and using the hashtags #TolkienTrewsday #TolkienTuesday #Tolkien when posting.
